Janzen lives and works in Montana where she is head of the printmaking program at Montana State University in Bozeman. Her images mirror landscapes, riverscapes, and architecture that bond in some way with her personal life, her family’s history, places she has lived. The artist notes that, “I look for something more than what is in front of me. I make pictures that employ the process of searching and discovery to express thoughts, sensations, and specific qualities surrounding a place.”
