David Conn

David Conn lives in Fort Worth, TX where he runs Shaw St. Studio. His work for the past few years has focused on paintings, and linocut relief prints of dense, binary rendered forest scenes, two of which are presented here. The other four works below, a series of relief printed etchings, are from his portfolio “Hobo Signs” from 1980. His art has been shown in more than 100 exhibitions in the U.S., Central and South America, Japan, England and Europe, and is showcased in permanent collections of the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, The Modern Museum of Art in San Paulo, Brazil, and the Bureau of Art Exhibitions in Lodz, Poland. After earning his MFA in Printmaking in 1970, Conn taught art at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth until 2010.
