During the summer of 2018, the Jack S. Blanton Museum of Art at the University of Texas in Austin distributed a large number of artworks that had been in the collection of The Contemporary Austin (formerly the Austin Museum of Art). The Contemporary had transferred a year earlier its “legacy collection” of some 700 artworks to the Blanton. The Blanton then redistributed almost 500 of these artworks among 17 Texas museums. The Museum of Texas Tech University Art Division was the fortunate recipient of 26 from this collection. Among the works transferred to the Museum at Texas Tech were works on paper that are important additions to the Artist Printmaker Research Collection.
