New Additions to the AP/RC: Mort Baranoff

Baranoff (1923-1978), a native of Montreal, Quebec, graduated in 1952 from the School of Art and Design at the Montreal Museum of Fine Art and received his MFA from the University of Southern California in 1959. In the same year he left Montreal and traveled to New York to work at Atelier 17, the legendary print workshop started by Stanley William Hayter (1901-1988). In 1960 Baranoff joined the art faculty at the University of Texas, Austin.

The artworks by Mort Baranoff were donated to the AP/RC by his daughter, Eugenia Baranoff.
